Angami Tribe is indigenous to Nagaland and one of the 17 tribes found there. Angami tribe is the major tribe of Nagaland with a poplulation of over 1.4 lacs. Their main occupation is agriculture and animal rearing. They speak their own language but do not have their own script. Angami men and women wear traditional angami attires and enjoy wearing ornaments. Christianity is their main religion. Angamis love dancing and music. The Angamis are skilled in bamboo and wood works, weaving and pottery. The role of women in Angami society is considered quite important because of the income they earn.
