People here have been involved in this tradition of making wild honey for generations, skills passed on from one generation to the other but never was it packaged and branded like this.
Now an entrepreneur trained by the Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship has managed to create a brand, packaging solution locally, and he is further linked with people who practice honey bee rearing – Apiculture in Khasi Hills district of the state.
The packaging was made by rural carpenters in the insurgency infested East Garo Hills district of the state. We at the Meghalaya Institute of Entrepreneurship are now giving him market linkage.
